Last week, the biotech group cut out the plexi glass using the mill to find a way to block off the extra fluid that could leak over. We learned how to use the mill so we could cut out the plexiglass on our own in the future without having Mr. Oswald come in and cut them out for us. We set the mill up and just let it run while we worked on a bit more research and did other homework in the meantime.

Since our group continues to learn about new technology every week, we seem to also be using 21st century skills 2a and 2b. Mr. Oswald or another apprentice will show us how to use the new technology or new information, we take a few days to learn it, and then apply those new skills to continue working on our project. Once we learned how to use the mill, we can use it everyday and continue to cut out plexiglass so we don’t have as much down time of waiting for the mill to cut like we have in the past.
