This past week our group focused on learning how to work with the glue. We attempted to glue practice pieces of plexiglass together and failed at first. Complications had come into play such as not knowing the correct amount of glue to apply, how to hold the pieces together once the glue was applied and whether or not the bonding agent held. It was very difficult to tell if we're successful sat first, we had to wait till the next day to see if the glue really held. The smaller surfaces needed a longer time of contact, we decided to hold those pieces together for 3 minutes and larger surfaces didn’t require as much time to dry so we decided on only 2 minutes. So far, this system has reasonably worked. Major critical thinking and problem solving were used in this past week's class. At first, we were afraid that the glue wouldn't hold and they we’d have no way of completing our project. After multiple test trials, we found a way that works.
